It was an exciting week with lots of projects going on at the garden. Our good friend Jim delivered our favorite compost that we use to build the bottom of our garden plots.  |

The Boy Scouts Troop 180 joined the Seeds of Hope Garden and they brought heavy machinery with them.
At 35 yards per truck load we will need three loads of bedding soil for the Bobcat to spread and make plots. 
Four loads of mulch like this should be enough! This large truck in the photo was able to deliver and self unload 100 yards of fresh smelling Eco mulch.
These boys did an amazing job in 1 day of work. With their organization determination and great leadership they pulled off quite a job.
It looks like a small pile but times that by 200!
With time on their side they quickly moved right along to creating the rows where seeds will be sowed.
Wow...amazing job!
Creating rows was a little bit easier with Big Dean rocking and rolling in the Bobcat.
Be sure to keep those rows nice and straight.
Farming is a lot of work but it has its rewards.....these Boy Scouts will soon tell you about those rewards when they learn about growing vegetables, preparing vegetables, eating healthy, and fund raising by providing fresh vegetables, herbs and fruits for local green markets.
