Weekending 04/23

Updated photo of West to East, big things going on here at the Community Garden.

Mulching the row cover in place...teamwork is a big part of the jobs at the Garden.

Giving these seedlings an extra boost with some vitamin water...also know as fertilizer.
Troop 180 tending and inspecting the newly planted crops.

William S. and his brother working on new ideas for expansion in their new plot.
Member Dena D.

Beginning stage of new herb garden.
A must taste when at the Garden "Mulberry's"

One of our not so good friends the Leaf-footed Hopper.

Loading up mulch to spread through out the walkways.
Troop 180 Group Photo.

Seen here our use of Lake Parks recycled cardboard, thanks to the towns Public Works Department.
A great find for us...one mans garbage is another mans treasure. No problem running our next 1,000 lf of Pvc for irrigation use at the Community Garden.

  2. Using recycled materials in the garden has been amazing from making pallets into a compost bin, re-using poly 1/2 water line from an older irrigation system to using cardboard one more time with helping to keep the weeds at bay. Thanks to everyone who keeps an eye out for these reusable materials.
